Calling all local employers and career champions! Now’s your chance to connect with the next generation of talent at the Worlds of Opportunity Career Expo, an event designed to open students’ eyes to the wide range of career options available right here in our region.
Worlds of Opportunity is not a job fair. It’s an interactive career exploration event for middle school students. Companies like yours can show off occupations that you offer with engaging demonstrations designed to help kids picture what a role might be like and how they could maybe do it in the future.
Why middle school? Research shows that students begin forming career interests as early as seventh grade. By giving them a chance to explore hands-on experiences now, we can help guide them toward relevant high school programs, training opportunities, and careers that strengthen our regional workforce in the years ahead.
Employers are encouraged to register for a complimentary booth space. Whether you build homes, heal patients, design machines, protect the public, or serve the community, we want students to see your world and how they might one day be part of it.
Explore the Career Zones
Students will rotate through four themed zones, each packed with high-energy activities and real-world applications of local career paths:
Zone 1: Transportation, Energy/Utilities, Public Safety, Construction, Agriculture
Zone 2: Manufacturing, Automotive/Logistics, Engineering, Environment
Zone 3: Finance, Hospitality/Tourism, Marketing/Communications, Human Services, Education
Zone 4: Healthcare, Technology, Retail, Customer Service
