Leaders in the Lynchburg Region understand the importance of workforce development. In 2023, a Regional Workforce Roadmap was developed as a coordinated strategy to build a strong workforce in the Lynchburg Region, grow the local economy, and help residents thrive. The document includes a framework of high-level goals, objectives, and strategies to guide the collective actions of stakeholders in the coming years.
The roadmap process was made possible with the support of the Central Virginia Workforce Development Board (CVWDB) and the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance and guided by a diverse group of public, private, and nonprofit leaders who comprise a Workforce Target Advisory Group (TAG).
